Get an exquisite and unparallel view of the stars – or the city – in the night sky, from your cockpit. With your night rating you will be able to chase the sun and enjoy flying with no time restrictions. Flying at night in the calm night-time air is truly a unique experience!
This rating requires a minimum of 20 hours flight time. This consists of at least 5 hours dual night
instruction (of which 2 hours is cross country) and 5 hours of solo night time. You must also complete a total of 10 hours of dual instrument instruction. In most cases, five of the ten hours have been acquired from your private pilot training.
Flight instruction is given in a Cessna 152, or on our newer Cessna 172R model. One of our
staff or instructors will be happy to give you more details on both the flight training and the study
Training costs reflect Transport Canada minimum training times and the program follows Canadian
