Recreational Pilot Permit
Looking up at the blue sky you notice an airplane soaring – and you might wonder whether you would be able to master the skill of flying. It’s not hard to take the first step to learn! The Recreational Pilot Permit is a great introduction. You will soon be able to fly – and even take a friend up with you to enjoy the freedom of flight. The RPL program does not require approval by the registrar of the Private Training Institutions Branch (PTIB) of the Ministry of Advanced Education, Skills & Training.
Flight instruction is given in a Cessna 152, Cessna 172P or on our newer Cessna 172S model. One of our staff or instructors will be happy to give you more details on both the flight training and the study material. Our comprehensive ground school is available – on line – with a flexible schedule for your convenience. If you haven’t yet experienced the magic of flight, why not let us take you up for a “familiarization flight” for as little as $89.00!
Training costs reflect Transport Canada minimum training times and the program follows Canadian Aviation Regulation guidelines. There are no membership fees at Montair. Further information on Transport Canada licensing and experience requirements can be found on the relevant section of the Canadian Aviation Regulations, available online here.
