The training base includes approximately 24,000 sq. ft. of aircraft hangar and main office space plus an accommodation building, kitchen and dining area. There are eight private briefing rooms for students and instructors to use before and after the flight. The classrooms are large and bright. Our flight dispatchers make sure all the flights are released under safety regulations approved by
Transport Canada, and the planes are tracked by GPS devices.
For our contract airline students, Montair provides modern, air-conditioned, fully-equipped dormitory accommodation at Red Deer airport. This includes full catering for all of our student’s needs, including 3 meals per day food service on-site.
For visitors and short-term trips to Montair’s Red Deer location, we recommend staying at the Microtel Inn & Suites by Wyndham. It offers an indoor pool and fitness centre, free continental breakfast with hot items and WiFi access. Meeting rooms are also available. The Microtel is located directly on Leva Avenue, directly off of Queen Elizabeth Highway #2. The Montair offices are only a 5 minute drive from the hotel and a shuttle service is available.
